Karin Rivetti
Karin’s education and work experience expands over 30 years. She has worked with children and families in a variety of settings. In her early career, she worked in mental health with inpatient and outpatient care. Karin then began to focus on supporting children with early education and early intervention services. She founded Children at Heart, which was an early intervention program that paired with the local regional center, and later was the director of an early education and center based program for a non-public school. Finding ways to teach children new skills and manage challenging behaviors inspired Karin to learn more about Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Karin completed her masters degree in exceptional student education with a specialization in ABA, and earned her Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification in 2014. As a practicing BCBA, Karin has provided ABA services for children with Autism and related disorders, in their homes, schools and communities.
In 2022, Karin created Thrive Behavior Consulting. Her approach is positive parenting with ABA. Parents are a child’s first teacher and their role is significant and lifelong. Karin’s goal is to help parents embrace that role and find the most effective ways to help their children learn, grow and thrive. The focus is to create the kind of change that is meaningful for the whole family.
Personally, Karin’s greatest gift is being a mom of two. She loves spending time with her husband, children, and family. She values kindness and compassion, and believes in their ripple effect. In her free time, she loves to cook and bake, and finds balance with yoga, hiking and being in nature. Her motto is embracing life’s challenges and finding the silver lining in everything.
